These two photos were taken from opposite ends of the Coffs Habour Marina. When viewing this scene the saying "packed in like sardines" came to mind with boats of all sizes from fishing to luxury vessels.

A quick post today as I am flat strap in the art studio until this evening working on this painting. The painting is much further ahead than my last post on Arts & Stuff with an updated post coming soon.

Waterfall Way in the Dorrigo Mountains in New South Wales was a real eye opener for me because I have never seen a rain forest before. It was like being in a different country and now fully understand how diverse Australia is with its landscape and I have so much more to experience, as this is only early days with more traveling yet as time permits.
With Malcolm's uncle and aunt as tour guides we had lunch at the Sherrard Falls, that rushes underneath the road with a constant roar. It is a magical place with winding roads with sheer drops that were mostly covered with dense tall straight trees, shrubbery and the most beautiful ferns that I have ever seen. As I don't like heights that might have been just as well that I couldn't always see the drop beside the road although I did have the attitude that this opportunity to see a glorious area such as Waterfall Way, my fear of heights was kept firmly to the back of my mind. Um though there is another time later in this holiday that I wasn't so successful.....then that is another story for later.

The forest was so green that a damp tree trunk such as this very warm colour jumped right out from the surrounding area. I actually thought of painting this one but is is so different to the area that I live in that I knew I would have difficulty in selling it. I still may paint this scene at a later time, just for me!!!
The next lot of photos will be of Coffs Harbour with photos completely different to what I have shown so far on this New South Wales holiday trip.

In the local Aboriginal dialect “Wollomombi’ comes from the word ‘Wollumbi’, which means “meeting of the waters”. The Wollomombi and Chandler rivers meet at this gorge.
The Wollomombi Falls is one of Australia’s highest waterfalls with a drop of 260 metres. I would love to see these falls at their peak flowing time, as I believe it would have to be magnificent to see. The waters of the falls heads South, joining the Macleay river on its journey to the Pacific Ocean at South West Rocks.

The photo of the path leading to the falls fascinated me with the moss and lichen growing over moist areas that the mist from the falls created.

Well I didn't see Easter Bunny but this bird tended to make a nuisance of itself when I was trying to take a seascape photo. I walked to the left and it did the same as well as moving to the right, the gull followed, but of cause it had to stand between me and the photo I wanted to take.

There is usually a good sunset at Easter time at Port Broughton and this year was no exception.

I wouldn't say Port Broughton has a beautiful beach but at the same time it is an interesting one. I stitched three photos together in an attempt to give you a general idea of what the coastline looks like that is neighbouring the edge of the caravan park that my husband and I were staying at.

I don't have any Easter eggs to offer you but would like to present these flowers as a gift and wish you all safe travel and a wonderful Easter period.
This blog will not have anymore post until the 9th of April as I am heading off to gather with family and friends at a caravan park for Easter as we do every year.

This little guy I bred quite a few years ago. I didn't have the zoom on the lens but thought he was still worth posting by cutting him out of a larger snap I took this afternoon.
